Jo Forbes Jo Forbes was sworn in as a CASA Volunteer in 2003, after learning about the advocacy program from CASA volunteers who she respected. Seven years later with several cases under her belt, she became Sheridan County CASA Coordinator. Jo’s role is to recruit and train volunteers to be CASAs who are then appointed to advocate for the best interests of children in abuse and neglect cases. She works mainly with the adults involved in cases but once in a while, her favorite part, she gets to be around children, making sure they are safe and their needs are met. Spending time with her family is Jo’s favorite free time activity, especially her grandchildren. |
